In this 5 week series, students are encouraged to bring photos of their favorite flowers for inspiration. We’ll cover basic drawing techniques and introduce you to the vibrant world of chalk pastel art. Tuesdays beginning September 230th | 6-7:00 pm 5 week series or drop-In class format. $30/ class or $125 for the full 5 week series. Ages 16+ Supply List: 72 piece set of chalk pastels (recommended brands: Prismacolor or Faber-Castell) Pastel Paper (recommended brand: Strathmore) Optional: Kneaded eraser Blending sticks Instructor: Audrey Parker Audrey Parker is a Buffalo-based artist who works in mixed media with a focus on portraits and the figure. In 2019, Audrey earned an Interdisciplinary Arts degree from Naropa University in Boulder, CO, where she studied fine arts, psychology, and yoga studies. Audrey was the 2023 Springboard Fellowship awardee from ASI for her work with JJams Sessions, teaching art to the developmentally disabled. She teaches classes to adults and children at various Art Centers in WNY in 2d fine art. Audrey’s original artwork centers themes of nature and spirituality. Born and raised in East Aurora, Audrey now lives in North Buffalo with her fiancé and two children. She is busy working on classes, commissions, and new original artwork in her home studio.
